NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Franklin High School and Ravenwood High School played to a 1-1 tie Monday, Oct. 12, in the District 10-AAA girls soccer championship match in the Nashville, Tenn., metro.

Franklin tied Ravenwood in the District Championship by a score of 1-1. The Admirals entered the final unbeaten after a long shutout run and had beaten Summit 2-0 in the District 10-AAA semifinals Friday night at Page High School in Williamson County.

Ravenwood reached the final with a 2-0 road win over Page on Friday in Rudderville. Junior Tatum Hartshorn scored both goals in the 62nd and 66th minutes, lifting her season total to 19 and her career mark to 39 while breaking the Ravenwood single-season goals record of 17. The Raptors also posted their fourth shutout of the season in that semifinal.

Franklin senior Izumi Wakatsuki scored in the 44th minute on a corner kick and senior Aubry Gates added a goal in the 55th minute against Summit, while goalkeeper Bethany Louder made key saves to keep the Admirals shutout streak intact that night. Franklin coach Kyle Roelke had pointed to more balanced attacking play heading into the title match.

Both sides were already locked into the upcoming region tournament before the Monday title game. Page finished its season 9-4-4 after the Friday loss, and Summit ended 11-5. District 10-AAA featured multiple teams ranked among the state top 10, setting up a championship pairing of the long-unbeaten Admirals and a Ravenwood side riding a three-match winning streak into the final.
