NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Nashville SC can wrap up the 2026 Supporters Shield on Saturday night in San Jose, needing as little as a draw — and help elsewhere — to claim Major League Soccer’s regular-season crown while four fixtures remain.

Kickoff against the Earthquakes is set for 10:30 p.m. Eastern. The Shield goes to the club with the most points across the 34-game regular season and brings home-field advantage through the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs plus automatic entry into next year’s Concacaf Champions Cup.

Club math shows Nashville sitting 14 points clear with five games remaining. A win Saturday clinches outright. A draw works if Vancouver drops points at Austin. Even a loss can still finish the job if both Vancouver and Miami stumble.

The Boys in Gold are posting 2.28 points per match with 66 overall, a pace that threatens Inter Miami’s 2024 single-season mark of 74 points. Nine more points from the final five matches would set the all-time regular-season record.

A Shield would be Nashville’s second piece of silverware after last year’s U.S. Open Cup title in coach B.J. Callaghan’s first full season. The club was already the first to punch an Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs ticket and can also lock the Eastern Conference’s top seed this weekend.

Supporters following from Nashville will watch a road clinching chance that would make the club the first in league history to secure the Shield with four games still to play, then turn toward a playoff run with home dates stacked on its side tonight.
