News Summary

Crieve Hall Bagel Co. has expanded to a new cafe location in Inglewood, offering a variety of homemade sourdough bagels and coffee. Owner Ben Cornfield, who initially started his business during the pandemic, seizes the opportunity for growth and aims to establish community ties while donating to local schools. The Inglewood location reflects a commitment to enhancing the local culinary scene and supporting community engagement.

Inglewood, East Nashville – Crieve Hall Bagel Co. has officially expanded its reach with the opening of a new cafe location in Inglewood as of June 30, 2025. This marks the second location for the popular bagel shop, initially launched in 2021 in Crieve Hall by owner Ben Cornfield.

The Inglewood cafe features a selection of fresh, homemade sourdough bagels and a variety of coffee drinks, aiming to cater to the local community’s breakfast and snack needs. All bagels served at the new location are still baked in-house at the original Crieve Hall location, with the logistics managed through a small delivery van.

Business has been steady since the opening of the Inglewood shop, which did not host a large-scale grand opening event. Instead, promotion for the new location relied heavily on social media, where the message was simply communicated: “Hey, we’re open! Find us if you want to find us.”

Owner Ben Cornfield had not been actively seeking to expand his business at the time he was approached by Austin, the owner of M.L.Rose, with the opportunity to open a shop in Inglewood. However, Cornfield seized the “perfect” opportunity, coinciding with a recent acquisition of more space adjacent to his Crieve Hall location. This expansion allows for the installation of larger equipment and enhanced production capabilities.

Cornfield’s ties to Inglewood run deep, as his family moved there when they first arrived in Nashville. This new cafe is a homecoming for him, and he is eager to establish community ties in Inglewood similar to those at his original location. To further support the local area, the business plans to donate monthly to Dan Mills Elementary School, continuing a philanthropic practice established in Crieve Hall.

Additionally, Cornfield intends to collaborate with other East Nashville businesses to create pop-up events and community celebrations, further embedding the Crieve Hall Bagel Co. into the fabric of Inglewood’s local culture.

The cafe is open daily from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and is situated at 3701 Gallatin Pike, conveniently located adjacent to Inglewood M.L.Rose. The expansion of Crieve Hall Bagel Co. not only reflects the success of the original location but also signifies a commitment to community engagement and support in a new neighborhood.

This venture highlights the growth of small businesses arising from unique circumstances, as Cornfield initially began selling bagels from home during the COVID-19 pandemic alongside his wife, Lizzy. Since launching, Crieve Hall Bagel Co. has seen considerable growth, showcasing the entrepreneurial spirit and resilience fostered amidst challenging times.

The new Inglewood location is poised to become a beloved spot for both locals and newcomers, contributing to the vibrant culinary scene in East Nashville.
