A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, July 25, 2025, at Carl E. Ponds Funeral Home Inc. in Nashville, where friends and family will pay their respects from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Following the visitation, a funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM. Lynette will subsequently be laid to rest at Cedar Bluff Cemetery.

Lynette was born on July 6, 1961, in Rockford, IL, to Gloria Wilson and James Spence Jr. After living in Rockford for most of her life, she relocated to Nashville, TN, seven years prior to her death. During her lifetime, Lynette worked as a Certified Nurses Assistant, providing care through various home health agencies. Her dedication to helping others was a defining aspect of her career.

In her personal life, Lynette was married to Floyd Prunty Jr., with whom she shared a family. She is survived by her two daughters, Lashaunda Wilson and Ashley Warnick, as well as a son, Shawn (Amber Woods) Wilson. Additionally, Lynette was a proud grandmother of seven grandchildren and a great-grandmother to three.

Lynette’s family ties extended beyond her children and grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Kimberly (Tony Horton) Wilson, and brothers Dana Wilson, Kenneth Spence, Jason Spence, and James Spence III. In addition to her immediate family, Lynette leaves behind a wide network of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends who cherished her memory.

Though Lynette’s presence will be greatly missed, her legacy continues through her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, maternal grandmother Nicey Wilson, and paternal grandparents Commadore and Albert Dawson. Lynette also mourned the loss of several siblings: Tracy Wilson, Hope Spence, Roderick Spence, Terry Spence, and Jonathan Spence, leaving a profound impact on her family.

A member of Faith Walkers Assembly, Lynette was formerly associated with Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, showcasing her commitment to her faith and community throughout her life. Her contributions as a caregiver and her engagement in her church reflect a life dedicated to service and compassion.
