Marsha spent her formative years in Royston, Georgia, where she grew up with a close-knit family, including her two sisters and a brother. An education enthusiast, she attended Franklin County High School and later graduated from Georgia Southern University, where she met her future husband, Jerome ‘Jet’ Henson III. They married on June 21, 1975, in Royston Baptist Church.

After relocating to Nashville, Tennessee, Marsha dedicated herself to her family and her career as an elementary school teacher. She raised two children, Matthew Ryan and Jessica Louise, providing a warm and loving home. Beyond his dental career, Bill was deeply involved in community activities, serving as president of the Green Hills Civitan Club and Green Hills Rotary.
