Man Arrested for Allegedly Assaulting Pregnant Girlfriend

NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – In an alarming incident of domestic violence, a man has been taken into custody on charges of attempted murder after his pregnant partner claimed that he had, during a dispute, both physically assaulted and nearly suffocated her.

Desperate Escape to Safety

According to the report, police arrived at the scene in response to a reported domestic conflict. They found a woman who had managed to escape her residence and elude her now ex-boyfriend. She reported to the authorities that she and 36-year-old Allon Adams had been arguing when he struck her, causing visible facial injuries.

She further alleged that Adams suffocated her by grabbing her neck, leading to a temporary loss of consciousness. On regaining consciousness, she discovered herself on the floor, having been pushed off the bed, and observed Adams kicking her in the stomach.

Pregnancy at Risk

The woman is reportedly three months pregnant. Following the violent incident, she alleged that Adams proceeded to grab a knife from the kitchen and roamed the house, sparking panic that caused her to flee their shared residence. The woman was able to take refuge at a nearby restaurant, hidden until the law enforcement arrived to provide assistance.

Attempted Homicide Charges

Adams was subsequently apprehended on Wednesday night and is facing charges of attempted criminal homicide. Currently, he is being held on a $100,000 bond.

While this case is still being investigated, it serves as a stark reminder of the prevalence of domestic violence across the nation. Crisis hotlines and support organizations continue to encourage victims of domestic violence to seek help and safety immediately if they find themselves in a dangerous situation.
