She also lost her brother, Howard Davis Baldridge, Jr., and her first husband, Neil Edward Campbell. Surviving family members include her husband, Don Brothers, her sister, Beverly Lewis, who resides in Plano, TX, and several nieces and nephews, along with their children.
After completing her education at Hillsboro High School, Kay pursued an Associate of Arts Degree from Marjorie Webster Junior College in Washington, D.C. Following her studies, she returned to Nashville, where she contributed to the education system by teaching in the kindergarten department at Ensworth.
Kay later moved to New York City to begin an impressive 20-year career in passenger service with American Airlines.
