Lenny Kravitz Enjoys a Significant Year

Iconic rocker Lenny Kravitz is enjoying a milestone year. Besides his commendable accomplishment of receiving a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, the multiple Grammy-winning artist received a prestigious nomination to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Adding to his remarkable year, Kravitz is releasing his much-awaited 12th studio album, ‘Blue Electric Light‘, on Friday, marking his first new album in six years.

As if the above achievements weren’t enough, this stellar musician turns 60 this Sunday. Fans still recall his unexpected maiden visit to Buc-ee’s earlier this year that left everyone spellbound.

‘Blue Electric Light’: An Album of Self-Discovery

Recounting his journey of creating ‘Blue Electric Light‘, Kravitz stated that it was an album he should have created decades ago. He penned ‘Let Love Rule,’ his 2021 New York Times bestseller, narrating his journey from birth to his first record deal. His interaction with Tennessean during an ASCAP luncheon at Grammy week revealed his emotional journey. “I spent a lot of time musing within the book, reflecting on my teenage years, it was therapeutic in a way.” said Kravitz.

Most of Kravitz’s albums have spanned a two- or three-year period. However, the COVID-19 pandemic influenced his six years gap. Yet Kravitz seems more than excited to be back.

A Workaholic at 60

Kravitz has set the tone for the more spirited side of him by releasing singles ‘TK421’ and ‘Human.’ On the verge of 60, Kravitz seems as fit as a fiddle. With his workout videos on Instagram where he appears shirtless performing inverted, weighted sit-ups, in combination with his sultry video for ‘TK421,’ he seemingly confirmed this.

Kravitz is currently on a tour to culminate in a five-day Las Vegas residency in October. He is scheduling a Nashville date for the tour in 2025, confirmed representatives.
