Nashville’s Next 29-Story Tower Begins Construction

In the midtown area of Nashville, Albin Residential, a Chicago-based developer, is about to start construction on its latest project – the Albion Music Row. This much-anticipated project consists of two residential towers, with the first poised to rise 29 stories high and house 458 apartment units.

Albion Music Row: The Project

Situated at the southwest corner of the intersection of 14th Avenue and McGavock Street, the Albion Music Row will occupy two acres of land. Slated for a late 2026 opening date, the developer secured a $102 million construction loan, according to Metro Nashville records, with the land purchase costing $31 million back in June 2023.

The area was previously owned by the Beaman Midtown car dealership, with the majority now being developed by GBT Realty and Monarch Alternative Capital. Albion Residential secured the loan agreement with the help of JLL and Pacific Life Insurance Company. With everything in order, construction is set to commence immediately.

According to Albion Residential president Jason Koehn, “Albion Music Row is the first project to advance and begin to establish the former Beaman property as Nashville’s next great urban neighborhood.” With a strong track record – their first Nashville project, Albion in the Gulch, was a success – Albion Residential promises to deliver luxury, design and unique amenities in their second venture.

What to Expect

Alongside the numerous residential spaces, the plan includes accommodating retail and restaurant spaces, offering a fresh bloom of commerce in the locale. Between the two towers, a public park will find space, complete with public art and a stage. The project hopes to create a communal atmosphere where residents can enjoy both the comforts of their homes and the vibrancy of city life.

First Tower by Numbers

As mapped, the first tower of Albion Music Row will offer:

  • 458 units spread across its 29 story elevation
  • Generous parking with 272 below-grade parking spaces
  • At ground level, 4,000 square feet of restaurant/brewery space will be available

Owing to the commercial prospects and residential comfort the proposed project promises, it’s no wonder the excitement surrounding the start of its construction. The late 2026 opening seems far, but residents and keen investors are no doubt itching for the finished development. Until then, construction progresses, offering a glimpse of Nashville’s future living standards.
