Nashville, Tenn. — Nashville SC returns to GEODIS Park on Wednesday to host Sporting Kansas City after a 4-1 win at Austin made the Boys in Gold the first team in MLS history to earn 63 points through 28 regular-season matches.
The Oct. 10 victory in Austin pushed Nashville to 19 wins, three losses and six draws with 59 regular-season goals, a franchise record. It was also the club’s 23rd win of 2026 across all competitions, another franchise mark. Forward Shak Mohammed said the run shows the character of a team that keeps digging for results.
Reed Baker-Whiting, Elias Saad, Shak Mohammed and Hany Mukhtar scored in the 4-1 win. Goalkeeper Brian Schwake made five saves in his return from U.S. men’s national team duty. Coach B.J. Callaghan also set a league mark for wins through 71 regular-season matches coached with his 38th victory that night.
Next up is Sporting Kansas City at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at GEODIS Park for Pet Appreciation Night presented by Mars Petcare. Nashville still has six matches remaining after that countdown began with the Austin result, leaving 18 points available in the Supporters Shield chase.
Inter Miami holds the MLS single-season points record at 74 from 2024, a mark Nashville is tracking with room left on the schedule. Sporting Kansas City arrives as a Western Conference opponent Nashville has not yet faced this season.
For Nashville fans, Wednesday is the first home look since the historic points milestone. The club asks supporters to treat GEODIS Park as the next step in a season already stacked with club and league firsts.
