NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Early voting is under way in Nashville, with Davidson County residents able to cast ballots through Oct. 29 at any of 15 county sites ahead of the Nov. 3 general election.

The statewide early window opened Oct. 14 and lasts about two weeks, wrapping up five days before Election Day. During that stretch, voters can pick any Davidson County early location instead of a fixed precinct. Doors generally open at 8 a.m., and each site posts its own closing time, ranging from late afternoon to 7 in the evening.

Weekend ballots are available too. County clerks plan Saturday service on Oct. 17 and Oct. 24 from morning until mid-afternoon for people who cannot make weekday trips.

Among the Nashville-area options are Casa Azafran on Nolensville Pike, the Community Foundation campus on Belmont Boulevard, Edmondson Pike Library, the Election Commission desk on Murfreesboro Pike, Goodlettsville Library, Hillwood High School, Lentz Public Health Center on Charlotte Avenue, the Metro Office Building on President Ronald Reagan Way, Scarritt Bennett Center, South Inglewood Community Center, the Southeast Library branch in Antioch and Madison Library along Gallatin Pike South.

Voters need a federal or Tennessee photo ID that shows their name for in-person early voting and for Election Day, unless they fall under a published exemption. Library cards and IDs from other states do not meet the rule.

The November slate mixes federal, state and local races, including the open contest for governor. Republican U.S. Sen. Marsha Blackburn and Democrat Jerri Green headline the major-party field, and state records also list a long roster of independent candidates.

Spring redistricting carved Nashville across multiple congressional maps, so voters should confirm their House, Senate and U.S. House lines before they stand in line. Updated hours for each site remain posted on the metro government election pages.
