CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Tennessee Titans bring a 1-6 record into Paycor Stadium on Sunday to face the 4-2 Cincinnati Bengals, and they will do it without two key pieces of their offense. Kickoff is 1 p.m. Eastern, noon in Nashville.
Rookie wide receiver Carnell Tate has been ruled out with a shoulder injury after missing practice all week, and running back Tyjae Spears is out with a knee problem. Tommy Townsend, the team punter, is also out with a knee injury. Receiver Calvin Ridley, who has a hip injury, is questionable after practicing fully Friday, along with linebacker Dorian Mausi, cornerback Jaylon Jones and defensive tackle John Franklin-Myers.
On the other side, Cincinnati star receiver Ja’Marr Chase is off the injury report and expected to play, while safety Kyle Dugger is out with a quadriceps injury.
Tennessee is coming off a 27-24 home loss to the Cleveland Browns, decided by a 32-yard field goal as time ran out. Tony Pollard ran 25 times for 129 yards and three touchdowns in that one, and the Titans defense has forced five turnovers over the last two weeks.
The Bengals won 35-13 at Baltimore last week and are averaging 27.2 points per game, fourth in the league. Joe Burrow has thrown for 1,653 yards with 15 touchdowns and three interceptions.
Sunday is the 81st meeting between the franchises in a series that dates to 1968, and the Titans lead 41-38-1. The last time Tennessee played in Cincinnati, in 2020, the Bengals won 31-20.
After Sunday the Titans have a bye, then return home to face the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 15.
