Predominantly commercial and hospitality; very limited permanent residential population. The area buzzes with convention delegates, tourists, and concert-goers.
History
The area south of Broadway was underutilized industrial and surface parking land through most of the 20th century. The Country Music Hall of Fame's 2001 relocation from Music Row to SoBro catalyzed what became the most intensely developed commercial zone in Middle Tennessee.
