The Gulch is bounded by Broadway to the north, 8th Avenue South to the east, I-40 to the south, and 12th Avenue South to the west — sitting in the seam between downtown and Music Row.

History
The land was a CSX freight rail yard through the late 20th century. Nashville-based developer MarketStreet Enterprises led the brownfield redevelopment beginning in 2004, with the Whole Foods opening in 2009 as the neighborhood's commercial anchor.
