MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Grizzlies are the only team in the NBA without a loss after a 136-105 home rout of the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night.

At 6-0, Memphis has matched the 2014-15 club for the best opening in franchise history. Houston had been the other unbeaten team until a 116-111 loss at Dallas on Friday.

Cameron Boozer, the No. 3 pick in the summer draft, led the way with 27 points and nine rebounds on 8-of-14 shooting. Isaiah Stewart was nearly perfect, making 8 of 9 shots for 24 points. GG Jackson went 5 for 5 from 3-point range and finished with 21, most of it in a first half that ended with Memphis up 66-55.

The game turned in the third quarter, which the Grizzlies won 42-25 to push the lead to 30, and it eventually reached 34. Sacramento cut into it with a 19-5 run in the fourth, but Memphis answered with a 17-6 burst capped by a Jerami Grant 3-pointer that made it 119-90 with 6:25 left.

Memphis did it short-handed at guard. With Ty Jerome and Scotty Pippen Jr. out with back problems, Cam Spencer started at the point and handed out 13 assists to go with 10 points. The Grizzlies also held clear edges in bench scoring and points in the paint.

Rookie Darius Acuff Jr. scored 38 for the Kings, hitting 9 of 14 from deep, and his 21 points before the break were the main reason Sacramento stayed within reach early. The former Arkansas guard had put up 34 two nights earlier in a loss to New Orleans.

De’Andre Hunter added 19 for Sacramento. Domantas Sabonis had 11 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists, and Zach LaVine also scored 11 as the Kings fell to 0-6.

The Grizzlies host New Orleans on Monday night.
